MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

Hoyt Archery Company, a premier manufacturer of archery products, is looking for a talented & experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join the Manufacturing Engineering Team. This position is responsible for engineering support for manufacturing processes and equipment through research, design and development, technical assistance, process and equipment development and documentation. The Manufacturing Engineer is also responsible to improve manufacturing techniques and equipment to ensure efficiency and reliability of the process and to improve the quality of the product produced.

MAJOR DUTIES:

Develops and implements new equipment and processes: Designs new manufacturing processes, new machines and operations. Provides input regarding new product; so as to preclude manufacturing obstacles and enhance manufacturability. Modifies existing equipment to accommodate new product or specifications. Identifies or designs the most efficient and cost effective equipment and processes and implements them. Reduces product costs by developing automated systems when justified. Designs tooling and fixtures to support manufacturing processes. Develops action plans to reduce high scrap and/or warranty issues due to equipment or process. Assists in training operators for new machines and processes. Provides capital expenditure requests for production equipment including cost breakdown, cost justification, and payback calculations. Provides computer interfaces or automation to existing and new equipment.

Quality Assurance: Through interaction with Quality Assurance and product design engineers, establishes required process specifications with careful analysis of process capabilities. Develops and implements means of ensuring process and equipment will meet product specifications.

Project Management: Manages assigned projects to ensure they are completed on schedule, within budget and meet all required guidelines.


REQUIRED EDUCATIONS:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or closely related discipline.

REQUIRED PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE:
• 1 Year of machine design, including electrical and pneumatic systems, with use of CAD/CAM, SolidWorks, or other engineering software
• 1 Year of machine shop experience or class work and lab work in machine tool theory and operations
.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Strong engineering and mechanical skills
• Ability to operate machine tools such as lathes and mills
• A good knowledge of manufacturing processes and automation technology
• Computer skills in design drawing (CAD), word processing, spreadsheets
• Programming skills (PLC, CNC, Custom NC Programming)
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Project management skills and ability to complete several projects simultaneously

PREFERRED:
• Prior Manufacturing Engineering experience and materials knowledge
• Archery experience and foreign language skills

Hoyt Archery Company, a premier manufacturer of archery products, is looking for a talented & experienced Mechanical Engineer to join the R&D/Composite Engineering Team. This position is responsible for engineering development for production processes through research, process design process development and documentation. The Mechanical Engineer is responsible to improve the manufacturing operations of Hoyt.

MAJOR DUTIES:
Research and Develop new processes and products: Researches new techniques and methods to meet needs of future production requirements across multiple manufacturing areas. Research and develop new products which generate increased consumer demand. Implements engineering process of conceptualization, developing prototypes, testing, and perfecting for both manufacturing methods and new designs. Analyzes results and makes recommendations for improved business performance.

• 2+Year of working in a Manufacturing
