Hoyt recurve and compound shooters dominate the standings as the United States is in the process of selecting the next World Team to compete this summer in Torino, Italy with a grueling round-robin trials process. With 10 of 12 team slots occupied by Hoyt shooters as of the latest trials stage, Team Hoyt is poised to continue the total podium domination that started the 2011 season.
In the trials, Hoyt FORMULA shooters dominate 7 of the 8 top slots in recurve, with USA Resident Athletes and Team Hoyt shooters Brady ELLISON, Jacob WUKIE, Joe FANCHIN and Jake KAMINSKI solidly locked in the top four places in the men’s category. For the women, Hoyt’s Khatuna LORIG is the number one qualifier, joined in the top four by her Hoyt teammates Karen SCAVOTTO and Heather KOEHL.
On the compound side of the trials process, reigning World Champion Reo WILDE is the leader, joined in the top four by Jesse BROADWATER and Shane WILLS. And, in the women’s compound category, Team Hoyt has all four top team slots with Jame VAN NATTA, Kailey JOHNSTON, Christie COLIN and Erika ANSCHUTZ locked in on the team slots.
The team trials conclude next month with the final team shootout at the Gold Cup in New Jersey.
