Total Gold Sweep in European Grand Prix

Team Hoyt

Team Hoyt continues domination of 2011 season

ANTALYA, TURKEY April 17 2011

Team Hoyt keeps racking up the victories.  Fresh from success at the Arizona Cup World Ranking Event (Phoenix USA) and Asian Grand Prix (Bangkok, THA) Hoyt shooters have again swept every single gold medal in both the men’s and women’s compound and recurve categories in the European Grand Prix in Antalya.

Hoyt’s Sergio PAGNI (ITA) took charge of the new World Archery 50M compound round, with a #1 ranking in the qualifying round.

Sergio didn’t look back, racking up victory after victory in the elimination 15-arrow matches, taking the gold at the end.  Hoyt’s Vladas SIGAUSKAS (LTU) took Bronze.

In women’s compound, it was another total Hoyt medal sweep, with Hoyt’s Laura LONGO (ITA) defeating World Champion and Hoyt shooter Albina LOGINOVA (RUS) to take the Gold Medal, and past indoor and outdoor World Champion Eugenia SALVI (ITA) taking the bronze.

In recurve set play action, it was a similar story, with 2004 Olympic Champion Marco GALIAZZO (ITA) wielding his Hoyt FORMULA recurve for the Gold Medal over fellow Team Hoyt and FORMULA shooter Thomas AUBERT (FRA).  In women’s recurve action, Hoyt’s Alison WILLIAMSON (GBR) defeated Team Hoyt’s multiple World Champion Natalia VALEEVA (ITA) for the Gold.

With 9 of 12 total individual medals, and all of the Gold Medals, it was a hugely successful event for Team Hoyt.  Get your hands on the most-winning technology in archery today- visit your nearest Hoyt Dealer and discover the formula for success!
