It was another big performance for Team Hoyt in another major event- the 2010 Berlin Open is now history and Team Hoyt took a majority of podium spots including a total sweep of the compound men’s category.
Hoyt shooter Robert Abstreiter from the German National Team finished in the top spot by beating Hoyt shooter Joachim Andersen, the formal Danish indoor champion. Mike Schloesser, just 16 years old and recent winner of the Face2Face in Amsterdam, won the bronze. In doing this, he had to beat a fellow Hoyt shooter- the tough, experienced Magnus Carlsson from Sweden.
In the women’s compound category, Hoyt’s Petra Goebel shot well and scored the silver medal.
In the women’s recurve action, Berlin resident and German National Team member Lisa Unruh took the gold in fine style, shooting a ten with her final arrow to win the match. Camilo Mayr from the German junior squad took the silver in the men’s recurve division with Formula RX. And Olympian Magnus Petersson took the bronze after finishing second at the Face2Face just a few weeks ago with his Formula RX- right behind winner and fellow Team Hoyt member Brady Ellison.
Hoyt wishes to congratulate all of the competitors in Berlin 2010!
