With a spate of new world, national and personal records matched and exceeded in the past two weeks, Formula shooters worldwide are achieving incredible new high scores right out of the box!
This past weekend, top Canadian shooter and Olympian Jay Lyon set a new National Record with his Formula RX/F4, scoring a 297/296 for a FITA score of 593 in a competition in Manitoba, while French Olympian Thomas Aubert shot a 590 personal record this weekend in competition in France.
Of his new Formula bow, Jay said:
"The first shot I took was remarkable! I was amazed with how quiet the bow was! The F4 limbs have an amazingly smooth draw, which adds to the great feel of this bow. After a few tweaks in my stabilizer setup, I decided it was time to shoot a score. I was very pleased at how great the bow felt. I was an avid fan of the Helix for a long time and have been waiting for another bow that would rival the Helix. The Formula RX was relatively easy for me to get setup in a way that is most comfortable for me to shoot. A slick look combined with a stellar feel makes this bow one of the greatest that I have ever shot. If I had to describe this bow with a catchy phrase it would be, “silent....but deadly”. Kudos to the engineers at Hoyt who created this marvel!"
With a monster 592 + 592 round achieved at the Nimes European Indoor last week by USA shooter Brady Ellison, and a perfect score of 120 tying the world record from World Indoor Champion and World record holder Berengere Schuh of France, the Formula success stories keep rolling in!
