Hoyt recurve takes majority of World Games medals

7/27/2009

Team Hoyt recurve shooters swept the entire women\'s recurve medal ranks and men\'s bronze to take 4 out of 6 medals awarded at the just-concluded World Games in Taiwan.

Hoyt Pro Staff recurve shooter Carole FERRIOU (FRA) made a dramatic comeback after her 2005 retirement to take the Women’s recurve gold medal.  Carole, a multiple time World Archery Field Champion, also won the 2001 World Games in Japan.  She defeated reigning World Archery Field Champion Jessica TOMASI (ITA) who took silver, while Hoyt’s Naomi FOLKARD (GBR) made it a total sweep of the recurve women’s medals, taking bronze.

On the men’s recurve side, reigning World Archery Field Champion Sebastian ROHERBERG (GER) took bronze.

Team Hoyt\'s Kevin Wilkey took the men\'s compound title as well.
