Total Hoyt sweep at British Indoor Nationals
Hoyt recurve shooters take all medals
Fresh off a series of new records set by Team Hoyt in the UK, another outstanding set of performances saw a complete sweep of the medals at the British Indoor by Team Hoyt.
Alan Wills led the men to take the gold medal with his GMX/990TX in a hotly contested finish against Olympic bronze medalist Simon Terry. Hoyt’s Mike Peart took the bronze after a string of 120 point perfect scores in the preliminary rounds.
Not to be outdone, on the women’s side it was Hoyt’s Charlotte Burgess, a 2008 Olympian, taking first with her 990TX/GMX against fellow Hoyt staff shooter Jenny Jeppson, while Michelle Kiddy took third with her Hoyt recurve.
Last week, Mike and Simon achieved new British records, with a 592 25M FITA II score by Mike and a 595 18M FITA I score by Simon, setting the new records by 4 points.
Congratulations to all participants at the British Indoor Championship!
