Team Hoyt Takes Center Stage at Gold Cup
BLOOMFIELD, NJ Hoyt’s Pro Shooters brought their A-Game to the much-anticipated 2007 Gold Cup, held recently at Brookdale Park in Bloomfield, New Jersey. Hoyt stole the show in the men’s divisions, with podium-topping performances in both the compound and recurve ranks. Building upon their already impressive 2007 tournament seasons, Reo Wilde, Dave Cousins and Braden Gellenthien grabbed the gold, silver and bronze medals for Team Hoyt, respectively. And on the men’s recurve side, Hoyt’s Richard Johnson won the gold, followed by Hoyt teammate Jacob Wukie with the silver.
Hoyt’s women shooters had an equally exciting run. Jamie Van Natta lead the charge with a record-breaking, history-making perfect 120 in her quarter final round, which set the tone for four solid rounds and the gold medal. Hoyt’s Erika Anschutz and Karen Scavotto also posted respectable scores in the women’s compound and recurve divisions, respectively, and each left New Jersey with bronze medals around their necks.
Hoyt would like to recognize all of its shooters for representing Hoyt to the fullest. Their skill and love of the sport paired with the reliability and industry-leading performance of Hoyt’s bows is a recipe for success that’s hard to beat.
