Hoyt’s Amandine Bouillot sets new FITA world record
Varese, Italy Team Hoyt’s Amandine Bouillot (FRA) scored an incredible 1404 points to break fellow Team Hoyt Pro Staff Shooter Jamie Van Natta’s world record for a FITA Round at the FITA World Cup getting started in Varese, Italy, this week.
Hoyt’s Gladys Willems (BEL) reached 1400 for the first time as well, and Hoyt’s Petra Ericsson (SWE) completed the qualifying sweep by Team Hoyt.
“It’s fantastic!” said Bouillot. “I really wanted to break this world record. I shot 1403 in a non-official competition in France last week, so I knew I could do it!”
Hoyt’s Jamie Van Natta, the previous world record holder, offered congratulations to her Hoyt teammate. “I am very happy for Amandine,” she said. “She is a great archer and she shot terrific today. Records are made to be broken and there are no limits.”
